Experimental Chicago indie rock act I Can Hear Myself Levitate is set to hit Beat Kitchen this Wednesday, September 29th, for a headlining performance. The outfit is out in support of its What Is Left EP, itself comprised of productions both ambitious and melodic, emphasizing a quiet-loud dynamic across its jagged riff-set foundation. The EP is available for streaming and purchase at the group’s Bandcamp page. Additionally, according to the band’s Tumblr, the unit is hard at work on a new EP, set for release in spring 2011, which will “tell portions of stories that lead up to a demise of a city.” RSVP to the Beat Kitchen show on Facebook, and stream the cautious then caustic “Arrows On The Compass” and bombastic and sudden “The Coldest Abyss In Your Heart” below.
