For this month’s ChicagoVerseUniteD cover story, every day in January will preview a different local artist’s plans for 2011. Today: Victorian Halls!
Victorian Halls may not be looking at a new record just yet, but that hardly means the noise pop dance act is slacking off in 2011. The group is currently planning live dates and spring touring in support of its latest latest EP, the spastic and shriek-loaded Crystal Lenses, released this past October. Beyond that, Victorian Halls is looking towards compilations and collaborations, as frontman frontman Sean Lenart explains to CVU.
“We’re going to be part of a awesome compilation coming out in the summer. It is all covers, but I can’t give out the theme, yet,” the vocalist and guitarist teases. “We’re also offering a couple of tracks to be remixed. Interested parties email here: firstname.lastname@example.org attn”REMIX”. A couple of the top remixes are going to be released. It’s a great way for us to collaborate with other artists, and for them to get their name out there.”
