Chicago club rapper Vyle and innovative electro artist Eliot Lipp have teamed up for a supremely cool new collaboration titled Auburn. According to the group’s bio, the musical minds bonded over common interests after meeting right here in Chicago, with this project the eventual end product of that initial encounter. Now, the pair stand on the verge of releasing a video for their track “Ultramodern Verandah,” dropping either this or Monday, February 7th, or Tuesday, February 8th, depending on which of the band’s site one refers to. The track is one of two new cuts the act has recently made available online, along with “Arrivals/Departures (Pyramid Angle).” Stream both electro hip hop tracks below, via the group’s Soundcloud page, followed by the preview clip for “Ultramodern Verandah,” or download both cuts through the group’s official site. Or, for the more social option, head to Beauty Bar this Friday, February 11th, for the video screening party hosted by Vyle and featuring DJ sets from Rob Threezy, among others. And look for the Auburn full length, D/A/T/A/S/E/T/T/E, to drop sometime in the middle of the year.
