Black Light Saints have been on something of a roll lately, between performing at last night’s GlitterGuts Underground Dollar Store event and last month’s high profile Vitaminwater® Winter Escape party. Now, as BLS frontman Britton Wetherald tells CVU, the group is looking ahead at new music for 2012, in addition to Wetherald’s own upcoming solo and DJ work under the British Knights title.
“We are working on releasing new Black Light Saints material, as well as New British Knights material this year,” Wetherald confirms. When asked about the direction for both projects, the artist replied, “For BLS we want to stay true to our sound but also step it up a bit and try new things. British Kinghts is collaborating with some people working on more house inspired dance music with a modern view.”
The singer/DJ reports BLS are looking to hit the studio this month, with two as of yet unreleased singles surfacing in the near future. As for British Knights, a new EP will hit either late this month or in February.
“The band is really looking forward to releasing new music,” Wetherald emphasizes. “Expect some surprises from that.”
