Columbia College Record Label AEMMP Returns With New Chompilation Effort, Free Four Act Concert Tomorrow Night

AEMMP

Columbia College record label AEMMP Records are long time supporters of the Chicago music scene. And with the release of the organization’s Chomp, Too compilation happening tomorrow, the young group of upstarts is once again delivering another solid grouping of songs from emerging and established Chicago artists. The current collection features a diverse offering of tracks from an array of quality acts, including “Weapons For War” from A Lull, Secret Colours‘ winding psych cut “Love,” and the instrumental post-rock of An Aesthetic Anaesthetic‘s “I Don’t Want To Sound Like A Dickhole Or Nothin, But God Should Look Like Gandalf.” For a preview of the effort, check out a Britpop-flavored track from Scotland Yard Gospel Choir and the strong guitar-based pop of Levels below, or stream the entire record before it goes onsale through the AEMMP Records Bandcamp page. And head to Stage 2 at Columbia College, located at 618 S. Michigan Ave, tomorrow, February 17th from 6:00 – 10:00pm for a set of free live performances from AEMMP artists Chaperone (also below, both streaming track and AEMMP interview video), Carbon Tigers, Aetiology, and Katz Company.
