Last night in the back room of Logan Square’s The Burlington, The Hood Internet took the stage for a secret live set under the name Geocities. The performance wasn’t merely a DJ set, however. Instead, Hood’s STV SLV and two additional associates performed as a trio, adding live instrumentation to cuts from The Hood Internet’s forthcoming full length, FEAT. The effort features all original productions, and will drop October 2nd via Decon Records.
Check out the group performing along with FEAT cut “Won’t F— Us Over” below, followed by the album’s cover art and tracklist. And catch The Hood Internet’s full scale live set at the FEAT record release event, happening September 20th at Metro (tix). Or head to the Metro Facebook page for a chance to win entry into the show and eat tacos with the group.

Following the group posting the track earlier this summer, The Hood Internet have now released a new video for their track “Won’t F— Us Over.” The cut features BBU and Annie Hart of Au Revoir Simone, and comes from the group’s upcoming full length debut, FEAT, which features all original productions. Find that odd and unsettling treatment below, and look for FEAT to drop on October 2nd via Decon Records.
It was all the way back in January of 2011 when STV SLV first informed CVU about The Hood Internet‘s plans to release an album of original material. Set to drop on September 18th via Decon Records, FEAT will be comprised entirely of original productions, moving away from the group’s predilection towards mash ups and remixes. Now, the first single from that record has hit the web. Titled ”Won’t Fuck Us Over,” the cut features fellow local talent BBU, as well as vocals courtesy of Annie Hart of Au Revoir Simone. Download that track via the link below.
Just a week after the group released their Volume Six mixtape, The Hood Internet is back on another new release. The Toothy Wavy album features Isaiah Toothtaker of Machina Muerte and currently incarcerated MC Max B, in addition to Hood Internet production. Find out more in the following passage via the Mishka Bandcamp, and stream or download the eclectic effort in the players below.
Much like the Wonder Twins or Voltron, good things only get better when you bring them together. Over the past few months, we’ve been slowly but steadily dropping tracks and videos from the highly anticipated album Toothy Wavy, and its finally here.Toothy Wavy is a collaborative project between Machina Muerte head Isaiah Toothtaker, incarcerated rapper Max B, and production duo The Hood Internet. Toothy Wavy brings together all three artists’ unique styles, ending up with something you’re never quite heard before. Toothtaker, in addition to rapping on the tracks and providing hooks, also helmed most of the videos (of which there was one for each track), while The Hood Internet handled all of the beats, and Max B recorded his verses through the prison phone line. The whole project is a lesson in collaboration through difficult borders, and the result is nothing short of awesome. That’s the extra special cover art above, designed by Doze. For more goodies, there’s also the previously announced Free Max B Toothy Wavy t-shirt, which is available on our site right now. So download the album now, and always remember: Free Max B!
