In support of last week’s release of his Walk The Talk EP, William Beckett has been keeping busy as of late. In addition to multiple StageIt performances, the former The Academy Is… frontman and newly solo artist recently visited Chicago’s GRAMMY U chapter for an interview, which can be seen below.
The artist also performed an Audio Tree live session, the video for which can be seen below. Following that short film are all four streaming cuts off Walk The Talk, via the artist’s SoundCloud. And catch William Beckett live in Chicago on May 29th at Schubas (tix).
Chicago’s Empires might not have made it to the cover of Rolling Stone, but that hasn’t stopped the raw rock group from keeping busy as of late. First up is the announcement that the band has finished its second full length, which carries a tentative title of Garage Hymns. The effort came together during downtime in the group’s touring schedule. No further details are known yet, but CVU will deliver updates and music as they surfaces.
More immediately available is the group’s recent Audio Tree live session. Listen to audio from that performance here, or watch “Night Is Young” and “Hells Heroes” below, with the full video performance here. And catch Empires live on October 20th at Subterranean.
