Tomorrow night, Thursday, September 1st at Lincoln Hall, a staggering display of local talent takes to the stage to deliver a night of the music of The Cure, and CVU has a pair of tickets to give away!
The event, a benefit for Girls Rock Chicago, finds names like Bob Nanna (Braid), Mark Rose (solo artist/former Spitalfield), Joe Trohman (The Damned Things/former Fall Out Boy), Drew Brown (Weekend Nachos), Mike Kinsella (Joan Of Arc/Owen), and Dustin Currier (The Felix Culpa) banding together to cover the grandfathers of goth. If the grouping sounds familiar, it’s because many of the artists performed together in a similarly minded Morrissey tribute set at SubT back in December of 2009.
